I grew up in Shelby County, Indiana, where basketball is king, and graduated from Triton Central High School in 2007. After graduating from TCHS, I attended Indiana University and began my coaching career as a varsity assistant and JV head coach at Eastern Greene High School. While at Eastern Greene, I had the opportunity to learn from my mentor, Coach Andy Igel. Following my time at Eastern Greene, I was an assistant coach at Rushville High School, Morristown High School, and Franklin College.
I received my first head coaching job at Waldron High School in 2015. While at Waldron, we played in back to back Shelby County Championship games and won the 2015-2016 Shelby County Tournament. For a kid that was born and raised in Shelby County, that was a championship that I will never forget. From Waldron, I moved on to Hauser High School. While at Hauser, our varsity teams won 29 games in 2 years, won a Mid-Hoosier Conference championship, and made it to the sectional championship game. Following Hauser, I accepted an offer to be the head boys basketball coach at Whiteland Community High School. I am currently going into my second season with the Warriors. Over the course of my 12 year career, I’ve been fortunate to be a part of over 200 wins and 7 championships.
I teach Social Studies classes at Whiteland Community High School. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Emily, and we have two sons, Conner and Tucker.
I grew up on the west side of Evansville, Indiana and graduated from F.J. Reitz High School in 2002. After high school, I went on to obtain a degree in both Business Education and Marketing at the University of Southern Indiana.
In 2004, I began my coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Evansville Harrison High School. I also spent time as an assistant coach at Evansville North, Eastern Greene, and Bloomington South. During my three years at Bloomington South (2008-2011), we captured two 4A state titles and compiled an overall record of 75-3. This stretch included a 49-game win streak which is 2nd most in Indiana high school basketball history. I was fortunate to work under J.R. Holmes, the all-time winningest coach in the state.
My experiences as an assistant coach granted me the opportunity to become the head coach at North Posey High School in 2012. After leading the Vikings for eight seasons, our program has continued to make strides. We won the Pocket Athletic Conference title in 2017. During my time as head coach, we have graduated 36 seniors and have used basketball as a platform to prepare them for what lies ahead.
I currently teach Business and Economics at North Posey, and I am also an Assistant Athletic Director. My wife, Megan, is the Principal at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School. We have two sons, Trey and Ty.
I was raised just south of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and went to Bellmont High School. From there I attended Indiana University in Bloomington and was a manager on the Men’s Basketball team all four years. I graduated from IU in 2007.
In addition to managing my senior year, I was also a varsity assistant at local Eastern Greene under legendary coach Andy Igel. After graduating, I took a teaching and coaching job at Southridge High School in Huntingburg, Indiana. I was named head coach after 2 years as an assistant and was head coach for four years. We won back-to-back conference championships my final two years, winning 17 games in both seasons.
After that, I coached at DeKalb High School in Waterloo, Indiana. I was there for two years before I got the opportunity to make the move to Snider. This is currently my fourth year at Snider. We won 17 games and a conference championship in 2016, and most recently we won 19 games and a sectional title in 2020.
I teach English 9 at Snider. I married my high school sweetheart, Aly, and we have two awesome sons, Keegan and Eli.
